Happy New Year.
Very interesting challenge. I joined!
Awesome challenge! I’d join, but I’m already doing 101 Things in 1001 Days and Project 365, so I think that’s enough effort for one year, lol!
I would join but….well, I’d read those 28 books in a month.
Happy New Year!
Ooh count me in! I haven’t read much and basically English classes require me to read a lot this year, so count me in ;D
I can do it easily, especially when the exams are over. My trouble is not starting reading, my trouble is stopping.
Happy New Year!
Do you know what would be even more impressive? 2008 books in 2008. I would so sponser someone to do that.
I’m just kidding of course
I’d take part, but the ‘Maximum 3 books by the same author’ thing throws me. A good 99% of my books are Pratchett and I’m too cheap to a) pay for the bus to go to the library or b) buy more. Good luck though!
@ Amanda - :dead: the last time I read 28 books in a month was the summer of grade seven when I had gone mad and checked out half of Young Adult fiction in the local library, to the horror of the librarian.
@ Amber - Happy New Year to you too! I’m waiting for the end of exams as well, I can see the end… I can see … ah who am i kidding!
@ Jem - I just didn’t want someone to live off Harlequin Romances for the year :cute:
I might just do that, although I usually read more than that in a year, but with all the reading I have to do for my classes I don’t know about this year.
Oh wow, that sounds like a cool challenge. I’d like to join but since I don’t like libraries, I’d have to buy the books, and I don’t have the money right now. :/
Ughhh not looking forward to May with its 5 AP exams x.X June, though, will be nice
I’m planning on reading Chapters’ list of the top books this year. I’ve read most of them, but I would like to make sure I’ve read all of them!
Oh interesting :). I love to read. I have an entire library of classics waiting to be re-read (haven’t read them in a long time) ^_^.
Will AP/SAT Prep Books count under non-fiction? Will be reading a lot of those :P.
Happy New Year!
I’m doing a similar book challenge, only it’s 52 books in 52 weeks. It’s a good thing I’m an avid reader.
@ IB Student - Aww… SAT season is upon you? If you think there’s some healthy literature value and knowledge to be gained (Ooo TOK!) from those books, then go ahead and count them! Make sure you read them cover to cover
I’ll put the line at vocab books though.
Happy New Year to you aswell:) I would join, but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to do it, because I don’t really have that much time to read anymore:S
That sounds like a really fun challenge! I just wish I had the time.
In response to your post on my website, (thanks for popping by!) universities start making decisions on applications as soon as they are received. Most of them, however, begin replying around January-February. We can apply for university as soon as September, so some people get theirs done early!
