Chicago Tours
Posted on April 11th, 2008 in Review |
Back when my family still lived in Ontario, we went to Chicago for a few days during a particular chilly spring break. Other than the dreary rain and lots of overcast clouds, I remember how amazing it felt to experience the big city life. Other than Seattle, Chicago is one of the few large U.S. metropolitans I set foot in. It really puts Vancouver in its place because there are so many things to do in Chicago! I wish I found sightseeing tours earlier instead of wandering aimlessly around the city in a crowded car. I think attraction passes and bike tours are two of the best ways to truly experience a city like Chicago. Get lost in the downtown skyscraper clusters. Escape to medieval castles. Randomly draw an adventure and follow through with it.
For more information, try Trusted Tours & Attractions’ newsletter sign-up page. They have a special promotion going on where one lucky fellow or lady has the chance to win a handheld GPS system - no more getting lost in Chicago!
On a final note, two of my friends from IB this year are going to the University of Chicago. The next chance I get (probably for a Model United Nations conference or a vacation), I will be joining them to get another taste of lovely Chicago. Or perhaps get passes to the Seattle Space Needle. Or maybe even San Diego zoo tickets. I find it amazing (and a little bit of sad) that all my classmates are being scattered around the the globe next year for University! I’m sure quite a few of them are picking up the idea of touring the city before moving there, and now you know where to look.
