Happy V-Day!
Posted on February 13th, 2008 in QOTW, Wordless Wednesday |
Remember Valentine’s Day in highschool? Yep, we’re all too busy wasting all of our money sending paper roses and four-buck-a-piece chocolate and grams to be delivered to our friends/s.o.’s classes. Ahhh… the good life.

QOTW: How do you plan on celebrating/boycotting Valentine’s Day? Thoughts on the day itself?

Lol, I didn’t. I’m boring.
It snowed on V-day here, and school was canceled!! I didn’t have to think about all the little lovey-dovey couples at my school even once; it was nice.
I hope you had a great Valentine’s Day!
I boycott commercialism! xP
No, actually, I ate candy. Lots of it.
Hope you had a good V-Day!
Hmm.. I ended up spending V-Day with my friend, drinking coffee because Mr. Boyfriend was out of town. Bleh.
That picture is pretty freaking amazing, by the way.
Well, I’m still in high school, but I don’t do any of that stuff. Personally, I think it’s a waste and Valentine’s Day is way to commercialized. Why not spontaneously get your gf/bf a gift instead of being obligated to get him/her one on that one specific day? Of course maybe my opinion would change if I actually had a boyfriend, but for now those are my thoughts.
Aww Happy Valentine’s Day!! I’ve been with my boy for almost 4 years so Valentine’s Day isn’t huge for us! However I sent him a lame card in the post and he gave me tulips so I guess I can’t complain! Hehe! I think of the day as just another excuse to show people that you care about them just how much they matter! That’s why I sent valentine’s wishes to all my special friends!!
omigosh! I love the photo!
Valentines Day was no biggie but I got flowers & chocolate so its something to smile about
I love the photo. :cute:
On Valentine’s Day, my boyfriend and I exchanged gifts before school. He gave me a heart-shaped box of chocolates, and I gave him a leather wallet. After Science League (oh, how romantic it is to take difficult science tests side-by-side), he took me to dinner at a little Italian restaurant in town. Afterwards, we went back to his house to relax, but we wound up falling asleep instead.
I always wished I could have had a boyfriend to celebrate Valentine’s Day with in school. Now out of school, I have a boyfriend, and I don’t really care if we celebrate or not. That said, last year was the first year that my boyfriend and I have truly celebrated. We don’t buy each other anything though. And we never celebrate on the 14th. We either celebrate on the 13th or the 15th, just to avoid scrutiny, in a way.
I despise Valentines Day. Not because I’m single, but because I just see it as somewhat ‘tacky’. Cheap chocolate, flowers, cards, fake ‘I love you’s’ Blah! I think if you really loved someone, you wouldn’t need just one day to show them by buying these things, you would show them everyday, right? (not just by buying them stuff, but thats always good! Haha) :cute:
*cough* photoshopped pic *cough*
…still cute though (as if I know what “cute” means, oh well)
but alas I’m homeschooled so the whole delivering roses to other’s classes thing didn’t work so well…
