I think “Leaving the past” would be a good caption. It seems like the person’s walking towards the future.
My sis got 2370 on her SAT I (I so did not get that, hence me taking the ACTs). She got 800, 800, 760 on her SAT IIs.

Is what popped in my head when I saw that photo. I’m not sure why, and I can’t see her face, but idk. Yingna’s leaving the past makes a lot of sense, too.
I can’t see what’s ahead of her, so maybe that’s one reason.

thats a very interesting picture it kinda gets me thinking. it seems like the fog is the future but you cant see whats beyond it, and she seems like she finally leaving the past behind and moving on =)
I think this woman has just gotten off a train to start her life over. She’s walking into the fog, not knowing what’s ahead, but she has to take a leap of faith that she’s doing the right thing.
For me, the picture represents walking away from the past. It reminds me of old fimls. The girls seems more like a model, so she also reminds me of Catherine Deneuve for Louis Vuitton.
But when I first saw it, it gave me an impression of an old abandoned train station, where one would go there to think of the past or future.

I started a deep analysis of this image, then realised I was writing an essay…when I should actually be annotating a poem…

Great question. Hm.. when I looked at the photograph a few words came to mind “lonely”, “empty” and “strength”. I’m not sure why.
Wow, that is a really striking photo, although I am really terrible with captions. I think I would go for something short and simplistic, probably like ‘lonely’ and I just realise that someone else has said that
“Facing your future” That’s what first came to my mind when I saw the photo. It seems like she’s walking out of her past, into something new.

I pretty much agree with whats been said above. It is a very beautiful photograph. I think the fact that theres nobody else around is also quite significant. Maybe its trying to show that she is no longer suffocated by the people around her, like she’s free to start over her life in a new place away from the hastles of her old one. I think the photograph also sends a powerful feminine message, of independence and inner strength. She looks quite successful.
