Rank Review
Posted on January 17th, 2008 in Review |
Reviewing these ranking sites has got me quite addicted. In my experience, I’ve seen some very innovative and web 2.0 sites, and others with less complementary colours. Let’s take a look at how Top Poker Room fares.
First impressions: GREAT! The mostly white design definitely serves its purpose. The simple all-American banner captures the spirit of the game and conveys the message of the site very well. The footer has a great Web 2.0 sleek and glossy feel, but I think a splash of vibrant colours would bring out more eye-catching details.
Navigation: EXCELLENT. Simple bars at the top that hover on change (change the dark colour to a navy blue maybe?)
Content: GOOD. Upon clicking on the link in each listed site, I’m taken to an individual “profile” page where a wide range of statistical information is listed, including, but not limited to, graphics, payout percentage, security, and max bonus values. Overall, very organized and error-free site, a great find!

Why “site”? Why not “sponsored”? Hell, why not “spam”?
I guess this is what happens when I don’t check my feed reader for weeks — it gets filled with this crap.
Why are blogs willing to sacrifice integrity to ridiculous PPP?
If only it could be proven that YES, PPP does make you lose readers!
Ugh.
