The song this week is DHT’s Listen to Your Heart, dedicated to everyone one out there who’s facing love heartaches and is lost and confused.
Now, moving on to something more, cheerful (right…)! For high school seniors, March is known as Waiting Month. Twelve years of public education boils down to that single moment with a mouse click. Would it be tissues filled with tears of sorrow, or elegant glasses filled with champagne of joy? Only a handful of people in the world know my fate. So, dear readers, how good are you with colours? Whoever figures out the most school colours below gets an awesome link in my sidebar and a place in my RSS (because seriously, if you can figure it out, then YOU should be going to the universities I applied to). Here’s a hint: 2 Canadians on top, 8 US ones below. Their websites are your friend =D

They’re getting less and less creative with colours. Ready? Set? Go! And don’t mix up your blues.

Randomly stumbled upon you and found the colour blog intriguing. Although I’m not very good. Is the blue and gold at the top the University of Lethbridge? That’s where I have the joy of attending so just curious.
It would also be interesting to know how many schools share the same colours/mascots.
U of Lethbridge is in Alberta right? Move one province to the West! I just went on their site and you’re right, the colours are very close. I’m sure a lot of universities share the same colours, it’s a shame really. They could’ve at least consulted ColourLovers!
Dark blue (although it might not be that exact shade?) and gold is UMichigan; black and orange is Princeton; red and white is Stanford; blue and white is Yale (but I’m not too sure about the shades on that one either). A lot of schools probably have the same colors, though. The rest? I have no idea.
Woot! Meg is on a roll. You got two right and another one is really close. The colours are matched to the exact hex code provided by Wikipedia
Northridge/Lucas rings a few bells. I haven’t been back out to London in ages! Most of my time I spent between Toronto and Windsor, but I frequently visit London still when I’m out there.
I enjoy it so much more out west
I have no clue when it comes to colours and universities! I barely know Canadian university colours, let alone US ones.
YES. Fun.
I have no idea about the first two on the top…:x
The purple and white one is Northwestern University (I think).
Well, based on the literature I’ve received from them, I’d say light blue and white is Columbia and dark red and white is NYU. I don’t really pay much attention to this stuff though. And one of the blue/yellow combos must be UCLA. (I really should know which one; I’m there once a month.)
I totally wouldn’t have a clue as I live in Australia…but from what everyone else has guessed (apologies for copying anyone) and thanks to google here’s a wild guess:
university of alberta - green
canadian university college - red brown/white
stanford university - maroon/white
princeton university - black/orange
yale university - dark blue/white
university of lethbridge - blue/yellow
univeristy of michigan - yellow/light blue
northwestern university - purple/white
columbia university - light blue/white
ucla - light blue/white
new york university - dark blue/white
Sadly, I am not even going to attempt to guess and embarrass myself! Lol. I think it’d be neat if every university had totally different colors because then it’d be so much easier to tell them all apart!!
@ Arielle - You got two right. But I’m surprised, based on your last post, no bells going off? Btw, congrats!
@ Marie - Three right, hehe. Have you consulted Wikipedia?
I seriously have no clue as to which colour represents which school :P. But I must say, I love the song of the week. Whenever I listen to that song it brings back old memories :).
Hey! Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it.
I’m going to do some more research on those ads, I think the one you mentioned is at JohnCow, I’ll get a screenshot of it as well..
Tyler Gresham
I have no idea
I’m from Europe and only know a few states in America.
But I know that Canada’s capital city is Otawa. Ha! Lols
The two Canadian ones are McGill and UBC?
I don’t know any of the US ones
Blue/yellow one in the first row, on the right is the University of British Columbia, I think. And one of the red/white ones is Harvard?
@Crystal - LOL, just google but wiki may have helped me get a better score!
I think the two below the ones you say are Canadian are K State, KS, and MU, MO. Although I might think that just because I live close to those schools…
