Apologize, by Timbaland Feat. OneRepublic. I think I listened to this WAY too many times.
I’m up brightly and early at 5:00 am again, this time finishing the last Theory of Knowledge essay that I would ever have to write. The topic?
“… we will always learn more about human life and personality from novels than from scientific psychology” (Noam Chomsky). To what extent do you agree?
I felt it was one of my weaker essays that I rushed to finish in one day. My last one, on the topic Do language play equal roles in different areas of knowledge? got me a high mark, but I can’t submit it for official marking to IB because turnitin.com didn’t process the essay in time :ouch:
It might seem as if I’ve crawled into a hole and stopped blogging, but it’s not true! I’m just splitting my attention between two blogs that’s all.
I haven’t done Music Monday for a while so I thought I’d upload one of the songs that I got really addicted to after watching So You Think You Can Dance. It’s not my usually mainstream pop style, but what the heck!
A happy december to everyone! Vancouver got its snowstorm! And like any snowstorm here, it was all gone after a whole night of rain yesterday, pfft.

Essays leave me drained. They are always easy to do, but tedious all the same. I hope that you do get good markings. It sounds like a very interesting topic.
I am anticipating the snow here in DC, but after a while the snow turns a disgusting grey/brown color from all the gas and dirt and pollution. That, I am not looking forward too.

Interesting topic. Science is not always the best solution to get to know people, I think and music is so connected to human beings because it is made by them,
I despise turnitin.com. My school which is also in CAnada but in Toronto, students are allowed to opt out using turnitin.com provided that you also hand in your rough drafts. A student in the university also sued( and won) against the site because turnitin gets profit off essays submitted by students. They get money off it.
That topic sounds brutal. I wouldn’t survive it, no matter what. But I hope you do good on it.
Haven’t heard of Turnitin, I guess we don’t have it in the UK. *shrug* I love that song by OneRepublic, it’s one of my favorite songs of this year. 
I’m dreading the coming snow, I’m not a big fan of the fluffy white stuff.

I’ve spoken with one of the admissions officers from the college that I sent that essay to already. I don’t really want to explain why I chose to write that with someone who doesn’t care. I’m content with the essay, and so are they.
Hey, at least it was the last TOK essay! I hate waking up early to finish schoolwork :ouch:

@ Aja - That’s great you spoke to them, good job! Which university are you applying to by the way? I never said I don’t care about your essay, in fact, I was very touched. I had a similar experience so your essay really hit home… all I wanted to point out was that it didn’t reflect how you grew from the experience. I’m no expert on the college admission process, by that seems to be the general trend for essays. Anyway, good luck, hope you get in!

Man, the IB sounds hard. I was going to study for the IB, but am dreadful at Maths and Science - so I decided to just do A Levels.
We don’t have any snow here yet, but where I come from (Norway) there’s been snow since September! I feel left out of the sledging and snowballing action.

I hate essays. I hate school.
Sometimes when essays are rushed, for me, I find that mine come out better. When I edit, and re edit and edit again, my essay seems TOO formal and TOO thought out to an extent that its not a good essay
