Forgotten Greetings

Posted on March 17th, 2008 in Review | No Comments »

Some of you know that for the past eight years, I’ve pretty much moved, slowly, across Canada. In various places in Ontario and the West Coast I have scattered bonds of friendship. Sweet girls who made my life just so much happier. So, what does a girl do when she forgets her BFF in Ontario’s birthday?! Slap herself, yes. Wallow in shame, a given. Immediately FedEx a package over? I’m working on that .

Photo Greeting CardsSince it’s spring break, I’m actually drafting letters and cards to all of my friends in Ontario (begging them to forgive me for forgetting to send Xmas cards, Bday cards, Just-Felt-Like-It cards). Photo Greeting Cards is just one of the resources I checked out. I think this is geared more at seasonal greetings, and I’m sure my grandparents on the other side of the world would love to have one. Aren’t they just adorable? I swear I have this obsession with stationary and letterheads. It’s an healthy obsession, I assure you! Take it from me, always mark down birthdays and special occasions on all the calendars you have (even those useful Facebook ones) so you never forget it again! Email reminders are helpful too. Now, time for me to pick out something meaningful for my friend in Ontario!

But how can a few generic words sum up the deep, provocative, and earth-shattering thoughts that we humans are able to make materialize through hours of meditation and isolation with no companion but a dark, humming machine? On second thought, maybe Crystal is just high on chocolates. I for one tend to agonize over my blog categories and have no inspiration and/or is adamantly against creating new ones. So I surfed around on a few of my favourite blogs and found a few lovely ones to share. Credits all given, hopefully, probably, maybe.

Normality

The static categories are the *yawn* ones that appear everywhere. We can’t do without them, though depending on the theme of your blog, you might have different ones. Read the rest of this entry »
